Houston St. Patrick’s Day Parade
The 55th annual Houston St. Patrick’s Day Parade takes place Saturday, March 15, 2014, in downtown Houston. It begins at 12:00pm. It is a free, family-friendly event. The theme of the parade is The Irish Salute Houston’s First Responders: Number One in Our Hearts Always. The Grand Marshal is Captain William Dowling of Houston Fire Department, injured in last year’s devastating hotel fire that took the lives of four fire fighters.
1960 St. Patrick’s Day Parade
The 36th annual 1960 St. Patrick’s Day Parade takes place Sunday, March 16, 2014, at 2:00pm. It is on FM 1960 and it starts at Champion Forest Drive and travels east to end at Kuykendahl. The parade benefits Cypress Creek EMS Education Scholarship programs. The Grand Marshalls are Dean and Rog of the Eagle 106.9/107.5. This is a free, family-friendly activity.
H-Town First Annual St. Patrick’s Day Throwdown
The 1st annual H-Town St. Patrick’s Day Throwdown begins at 12:00pm on Saturday, March 15, 2014, and runs all day. It takes place in Houston at the Silver Street Studios, located at 2000 Edwards Street. There will be live bands and a dj providing music throughout the day, as well as a bagpiper. There will be carnival-type games, a bikini contest, barbeque from Wrecking Crew BBQ, and a large selection of food trucks. Adult beverages will be available from a cash bar. Tickets are $20.00 + $2.09 in fees and are available on the event website.
St. Paddy’s Houston Pub Crawl
The St. Paddy’s Houston Pub Crawl begins Friday, March 14, 2014, at 5:00pm. Tickets are good for all three days of the crawl, Friday, Saturday, and Monday. Tickets are $25.00 + $4.37 in fees and are available on the event website. The first bar of the pub-crawl is Midtown Drinkery, located at 2416 Brazos Street. On arrival, participants will receive a wristband, a map to the other bars, and a special branded cup. This event is for ages 21 and over only.
Houston St. Patrick’s Day Bar Crawl
There is a kick-off event for the Houston St. Patrick’s Day Bar Crawl on Friday, March 14, 2014, at 5:00pm. Tickets for that event only are $10.00 + $2.00 in fees. A three-day pass for Friday, Saturday, and Monday costs $20.00 + $3.00 in fees. Tickets are available on the event website. Registration is at BlackFinn American Grille, located at 1910 Bagby Street. Once registered, participants receive a wristband, special cup, and a map to the other bars. This event is for ages 21 and over only.
