Honda has just recently launched its awaited low capacity petrol engine technology by showcasing the 1.5 Liter-4 cylinder Direct Injection petrol engine recently. But, that’s not all. The new 2014 models will also have a Variable Geometry Turbocharger (VGT) version of 1.5 liter i-DTEC diesel engine, a naming format that Honda uses for their newly manufactured engines, thus reaching out to a whole new set of consumers.
While having an edge in its appearance, the 2014 model has demonstrated a number of changes in styling from prior generations of Honda Jazz. Its newly manufactured engine gives out 100 PS, which is an increase of 17 PS if you compare it with its previous model, thus allowing the City to cover a benchmark of 0-100 km/h in just about 11.8 seconds, leading to an improvement of 1.6 seconds from last years model.
The newly engineered City has beaten its predecessor with higher quality materials, enhanced looks and more reliable functionality. There is substantially more space around the log cabin thanks to the provided extension, along with new layout of seats which gives comfort to both the driver and the passenger. It also has a proper manual air conditioning system, electronically operated windows and door mirrors. The sound system in the City comes standard with USB connectivity for all of your devices and gadgets.
A few other improvements have been added to Honda’s 2014 City including all-new alloy tires, front grille, LED operating lights and a pair of slightly different headlights that it previously had in the past model.
The launch of the vehicle in Japan this past September of 2013 received approximately 62,000 bookings in the time frame of just a month and a half, which makes it an astonishing 2000 or so bookings in a single day.
