Why Work at Home
I have been looking for some way to supplement my social security. It is amazing what some women have come up with to make life altering changes so they could have an income coming in. Some did it because they wanted to be “stay at home” moms and raise their children themselves. On the other hand some women did it for other reasons. They have worked in the “real world” and have been laid-off, so they dared to believe in themselves. They went out of the comfort zone of the traditional work world to become their own boss, to dare to start a company in the home. (https://www.athomemoms.about.com)
How Are Some Women Starting Their Own Businesses?
These women have created a niche for themselves. Some have started a home based business in accounting, second hand stores, cleaning services, cake decorating, nonprofit groups. Others have reached out into the cyber world taping into the internet. There as many virtual jobs out there as there are in the brick and mortar world.
Can I Fire My Boss Tomorrow?
Do not be miss lead, these jobs are very real. These women are making a very real income. Some are committed to making an effort to make the world a better place with “lunches for kids”, clothing for women who need to start back to work, clothes closets for teens of less fortunate families. With clothing at prices these teens can afford. There is a woman trucker out there who has a whole list of volunteers who will help shuttle displaced pets back to their “human” families. Why are “virtual workers” in demand? They run their own business; therefore, the companies they do work for do not have the cost of unemployment, health insurance, or paid holidays or sick leave. These virtual workers are responsible for their withholding tax. It is a win/win for all. There are a number of websites such as:
There are sites that will promise you the moon. If they want to sell you something stay away. This sounds like a dream come true; in a way it is. However, it’s a job. I have found I have to put in as much time or more as I would any 9 to 5 job. This is my bread and butter so I have started out slow. I researched for a month everything I thought I would like to do.
