Command Points (CP) are a precious commodity in the Facebook game Marvel: Avengers Alliance. You need them to purchase new heroes and new costumes as well as some unique ISOs. While it is possible to get an infinite number of them, the acquisition rate is usually quite slow. Unless you are farming mission 2 of chapter 12 of season 1, you will generally acquire about one command point for every 60 points of energy you spend, which will average to about two to three command points per day. You can increase that rate during special events and after new chapters are released, but you should never expect to get CP quickly. This makes it especially important that you choose carefully when purchasing any of the 90 CP heroes. The following guide will help you avoid wasting CP on bad heroes. These are the best 90 command point heroes in Marvel: Avengers Alliance.
Captain America – Captain America will not unlock a lot of game content, but he is one of the most generally useful characters in the game. Just in his base costume alone, he is generally acknowledged as one of the top three protecting characters in the game. He is durable and can defend against area attacks as well as single target attacks. Also, the tactician bonus is generally considered the best class bonus in the game. He also has some of the best alternate costumes available. His WWII costume cements his role as best protector and his Captain Steve Rogers costume transforms him into a surprisingly offensive character. Also, by purchasing Captain America, you will have a much easier time farming mission 2 of chapter 12 of season 1, if that is your goal.
Captain Britain – Apparently Playdom loves all the Captains. This hero is a damage dealing powerhouse who also can heal and occasionally gain extra turns. That is already a solid package of abilities. Add onto all this the fact that he has an area stun attack and can apply all four of the basic attribute debuffs in the game and you have a character that pretty much is always valuable. If you are looking for a really big damage dealer, this should be your top choice.
Rogue – Rogue is required to unlock two different epic bosses and is part of a heroic battle as well. Just on these things alone you can potentially earn back all the CP you spend on her. Her base costume isn’t exceptional, but she can deal some pretty high levels of damage and her ability to heal herself and restore her own stamina makes her a great character for long battles. She is also one of the best choices in the game when you need a generalist because she can gain the benefits of a class without gaining any disadvantages. As an additional benefit, she has the best Four Horseman alternate costume that was released.
Spider-Man – Spider-Man is required for two different heroic battles, unlocks two different epic bosses, and unlocks a premium mission. In terms of unlocked content, no other character in the game compares. That investment alone is worth purchasing him. He is, admittedly, a bit weak, but most infiltrators in this game are. Don’t worry about his power and simply enjoy all the new missions and challenges you can engage in after you buy him.
Wolverine – Wolverine is, by far, the best 90 command points you will ever spend. He has consistently been one of the top performing characters in the game and his versatility makes him both a good protector and a good damage dealer. He has one of cheapest heroic battles in the game, in terms of energy spent to complete it, which allows you to easily farm command points and E-ISOs. He also unlocks two different epic bosses and one premium mission. Of all the characters here that have alternate uniforms, he gains the least benefit from his, but that is only because he is already among the top tier of heroes without it.
