Surf n’ Sea has board long board rentals starting at $7 for an hour. You can also rent fora week for $100. There are other types of boards to rent that start as low as $3 for an hour. There are cash deposits required for the boards. Those vary from board to board.
Hawaii Surf Board rentals have surf boards as low as $13 a day. You can reserve different styles and lengths of surfboards at various rates. Those rates are for two days and additional days start at a $10 minimum.
Beaches on North Shore
Turtle Bay is located between the Turtle Bay Hotel and Kawela Bay. If you’re wanting big waves to surf, this beach isn’t for you. You can snorkel, swim, and fish.
Sunset Beach is a two mile beach with five surfing spots on because of the wave breaks.
Waimea Beach is more popular for its winter waves because it is where the big-wave competitions are held with a 20 foot wave minimum that is mandatory.
Ehukai Beach is the home of the Banzai Pipeline. This beach isn’t for the faint of heart or beginning surfers.

Sleep and Stay Locally
Ken Bradshaw Hawaiian Surf Camp is located on the North Shore of Oahu. They offer a main studio apartment That sleeps two with one bath for $79 a night with a $60 cleaning fee and a smaller studio for $50 a night with a $40 cleaning fee. Both are located at a home off the beach that can be rented from time to time. There are several activities that can be had nearby and on-site. Some of the activities are tennis, kayaking, sailing, and snorkeling or diving. For surfing lessons you need to email for rates and times.
Hauula Beach House has a minimum of three nights stay. Depending on when you are booking the house, rates are $159-$179 a night.
