These are some great movies to go see on Father’s Day that your dad will really enjoy. Below are four top picks at the movie theaters right now, along with some information on each of them so you can find the right fit for you and your dad. Take a look and enjoy the movie.
This is a great choice because Godzilla has been around for a long time, and there have been many movies created about this great creature. Not only is this movie action packed, but there is a great story behind it as well. I do not want to spoil anything, but you might be surprised at the direction the creators chose to take this movie. It definitely makes you wonder if Godzilla is part of the problem, or the solution to the problem at hand.
Main Actors/Actresses: Bryan Cranston, Elizabeth Olsen, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, David Strathairn
Captain America: The Winter Soldier
If you were a fan of the Captain America: The First Avenger, you will definitely like Captain America: The Winter Soldier. This movie is set immediately following the first movie, and explores the complex relationship between Steve Rogers and James Buchanan “Bucky” Barnes. Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow, also plays a major role in this movie by teaming up with Captain America to fight the forces of evil, along with trying to find Steve a date, which leads to some very humorous dialogue between Cap and Black Widow.
Main Actors/Actresses: Chris Evans, Sebastian Stan, Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett Johansson, Anthony Mackie, Frank Grillo
The Amazing Spider-man 2
Spider-Man is back and is facing a lot of emotional and psychological problems. With the death of Gwen Stacy’s father, Captain George Stacy, it is causing him to question the relationship between himself and Gwen, and whether he should cut ties with her so she does not get caught up in a world where she does not belong. On a brighter note, Harry Osborn returns to New York and reunites with his old buddy Peter. It is all smiles at first, but soon the relationship becomes complicated and causes tension between both Harry and Peter. You are definitely in for a roller coaster ride with so many villains trying to take a shot at New York’s favorite web-slinger.
Main Actors/Actresses: Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Fox, Dane Dehaan
The Other Woman
This movie was outrageously funny. When Kate (Leslie Mann) finds out her husband is cheating on her with Carly Witten (Cameron Diaz), she befriends Carly, and together they launch a plan to make his life miserable. This leads to many secrets uncovered and many more laughs to share with your dad on fathers day.
Actors/Actresses: Cameron Diaz, Leslie Mann, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Kate Upton, Taylor Kinney
I hope you find the right movie for you and your dad to see on Father’s Day.
Happy Father’s Day!
