1. The Simpsons Movie (2007)
Our first “Father of the Year,” Homer, not only dares his son, Bart, to skateboard naked to the nearest restaurant, uses his baby to fill a sinkhole, and brings home a pig, but he also manages to pollute an entire lake! After Springfield’s lake becomes so polluted because of Homer’s dumping that it causes squirrels to grow eyes, the EPA gets involved. They trap Springfield under a glass dome to contain the pollution. When the town finds out that it’s Homer Simpson’s fault, an angry mob ensues. Now, it’s up to Homer to save the town and redeem himself.
2. Mrs. Doubtfire (1993)

Daniel Hillard (Robin Williams) is a fun loving voice over actor who loves his children. But, after he throws an out of control birthday party for his son, complete with cake eating pony, his wife gets fed up with his irresponsibility and files for divorce. Distraught over only being able to visit with his children one day a week, Daniel dresses as a 60 year old woman named Mrs. Doubtfire to answer an ad his wife, Miranda, has posted looking for a nanny. Just watching Robin William’s incredible transformation from Daniel to Mrs. Doubtfire and back again makes this film worth seeing, and it will get you ready for Mrs. Doubtfire 2 which is set to come out sometime in 2015.
3. Father of the Bride (1991)

George Banks (Steve Martin) is the definition of overprotective father. A self-described “concerned” parent, and someone who “doesn’t like change,” he flips out when his 22-year-old daughter, Annie, comes back from her trip to Italy and announces that she is getting married. After telling her fiancée to “fasten your condom” and being thrown in jail because he doesn’t want to pay for extra hot dog buns, this crazy father will surely teach yours a few new ways to overreact.
4. National Lampoon’s Vacation (1983)

In this movie, we follow the Griswold family as they drive across the country on their vacation to Wally World. However, a family vacation with their father, Clark, turns out to be anything but fun. As if his singing while driving wasn’t awful enough, Clark also gets his wife’s head stuck under the steering wheel, dozes off while driving, accidentally kills Aunt Edna’s dog, steals money from a hotel, and straps Aunt Edna to the roof of the family station wagon when she unexpectedly dies. Watching this movie will have your dad redefining fun in no time!
