Having guests over at your home is a great way to spend time with friends and family. However, overlooking some of these simple items could spell disaster for your guests. Make sure you follow the tips below to have happy guests who are comfortable and ready to return soon. These little things can make a huge difference on their stay so be sure not to over look a single one.
Make sure the lighting in the room is sufficient. This could mean replacing bulbs that are burnt out or using a higher wattage if the fixture allows it. If your guests have poor vision then be sure the bath is supplied with lights bright enough so they can see good.
Storage areas need to be well stocked with fresh supplies. There should be towels that were only recently laundered. If your towels and wash clothes have been stored for more than a month then you may want to stock the area with fresh towels. You should also have a full supply of toilet paper and tissues as well. And make sure they are easily accessible and viewable when the cabinet is opened.
Another thing you’ll need to consider is if children will be in the guest bath. If there will be children in the guest bath then you’ll want to remove any items that can be dangerous to them. Items like hair dryers or other electrical items can be extremely dangerous for children in the bath so make sure these items are secured. Outlet guards and child proofing the entire area is a must when there are going to be children there.
It’s also best to check all the fixtures to make sure everything is in working order. This includes sinks, shower heads, and toilet. If there is a problem with any of these items then you’ll want to really look into getting this fixed.
One other thing you’ll need to consider is the quality of towels and wash clothes for your guest bath. Don’t throw some cheap towels here unless you want your guests mad at you. Be sure to use quality towels that are think and are washed in hypo allergenic detergent in case they are allergic to detergents.
Be sure to also add scents that can be removed if need be. Some scents are not favorable for some people so it’s more of a trial and error basis. Pick a neutral scent and you should be okay.
