Whenever I travel, with or without the family, there are a few tech gadgets we never forget to pack. Here are some of the important gadgets that I think everyone needs to consider when they are packing.
Mobile phone – Without this, there is no way to contact people to get things done or to get things you need. A phone is needed for any kind of emergencies as well. Having a Smartphone or iPhone these days is a benefit; you can browse online while still making calls. Never forget to pack the phone’s charger though.
GPS – These days, phones and other tech gadgets come equipped with GPS. But if yours doesn’t have one, always carry a GPS when you are traveling. It is more than likely that you are going to rent a car when you land, so by having a GPS, you can easily navigate places and won’t need to use any paper maps.
Universal plug adapters – Now this is especially required if you are planning to travel outside your country. The U.S.-based appliances cannot be typically connected to other country’s plug points. There is a difference of wattage, and if you try to connect your appliance to such plug points for charge, you are bound to fry your appliance. So always consider to take the universal plug adapters so that you can use or recharge your gadgets worry-free. Remember to pack more than one so that you can plug in multiple devices at the same time.
Power accessory – Power is one of the key things that many forget when traveling for long periods of time. Kensington AbsolutePower keeps your devices, including laptops and USB-powered devices charged with up to 100 watts of power. It’s small and light, and comes in a range of detachable adapters that can power up a range of devices, including iPhones and other Smartphones, and almost every kind of laptop available.
