Not all gyms are the same. Some have special classes or are only for people who meet certain criteria. Here are four specialty gyms in Folsom, California.
1. CrossFit Folsom Lake.
CrossFit Folsom Lake is located at 1126 Sibley Street in Folsom. CrossFit in general is usually a more intense workout and “gyms” for CrossFit are not like regular gyms. Curves Folsom is a specialty gym designed exclusively for women. The gym is located at 1008 East Bidwell Street in Suite 200. At Curves women participate in a 30 minute group workout program. It’s not uncommon for everyone to be doing a different exercise or using different exercise equipment during the program. Curves suggests you sign up for Curves Complete which includes the exercise programs, meal planning, and coaching for $13.95 a week. In addition to the workout programs Curves offers 3 classes which includes Jillian Michaels Workouts, Body Basics, and Curves Circuit with Zumba Fitness. Their hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 6 am to 6 pm with it being closed on these days from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm. Saturday they are open from 8 am to 12 pm and they are closed on Sundays and holidays. Curves is a great place for women who want support from other women. 3. The Little Gym.
The Little Gym located at 98 Clarksville Road in Folsom is a gym designed for kids 4 months to 12 years old. They offer dance classes, gymnastics, karate, and more. It’s a great place where kids can burn off energy and also it’s a great way to show kids that exercising can be fun. The Little Gym even hosts birthday parties as well. 4. Leap Yoga.
Leap Yoga is a yoga studio located at 1725 Iron Point Road in Folsom. This yoga studio offers many classes for all ages including teens and kids. They also offer yoga classes for new mothers or pregnant women as well. It’s a great place to relax and learn how to calm the body. In addition to their yoga classes they also offer information about cleanses so you can clear the inside of your body. Leap Yoga was voted by KCRA, the local news station, as the best yoga studio in the area for 2013, so that in itself makes Leap Yoga a place that you should check out. There are many different price packages to choose from. The common monthly package is $139 for adult and $79 for students and teens.
