It has always been a pleasure to write even while I was still very young. I didn’t know I could achieve this in a globalized form until I read about yahoo contributor. The effect web writing has had in my life has been mostly positive in every way since I started writing online because it creates room for critical thinking, knowledge and self development. The more you write, the more you read and the more you think, the more you learn.
I am still very much new in writing for the web but I think in the last few weeks that I started this online writing, I’ve learned some great deal of lessons which I’ll be sharing the most important four of them below.
Critical thinking: The lesson I learned here is the benefit of using my brain more effectively. Whenever the idea of what to write pops up in my head, I start strategizing on how to put it down right there in my brain and this helps the brain to process many things at the same time thereby making the brain to be more active and healthy. I hardly forget things easily now unlike few months back when it was easy for me to forget the color of the cloth my colleague wore a day before.
I read to understand: Learning to read and understand couldn’t have been easier for me until I started writing for the Web. Reading used to bore me, but ever since I started writing online, I have developed interest in knowing other people’s opinions in what I’m writing about. In the process of checking for related topics to know other people’s views, I’ll stumble on other not so related interesting write ups and I’ll want to read them as well. It has really been helpful in training me to read and understand.
More Exposed: This is one of the lessons I learned since I started writing for the web. There would be many questions begging for answers once I start thinking to get new ideas for new topic, which would lead me to seek for answers wherever I could get it. In the process of searching for answers, I’ll end up exploring other people’s ideas and thereby getting exposed to new things that I was not initially aware of.
Kills boredom: If you are my type of person that has nothing to do during our free time, you might as well start writing because it kills boredom and makes your free time valuable. The moment I start writing, I’m getting rid of boredom and at the same time developing myself.
These four important lessons are the major things I’ve noticed about myself in last few weeks that I made up my mind to start writing for the Web. It has really been great.
