Oily skin is very annoying. It makes the skin dirty and shiny due to the excess buildup of oil. This can lead to acne production.
There are a number of over-the-counter products available to treat oily skin. However, home remedies are available also. As a matter of fact, home remedies work just as good. Here are a few remedies below:
Clay mask helps prevent oily skin. It remove impurities and dead skin cells. They are available at many drugstores. Another option is to make it at home. Just mix 1 tablespoon of witch hazel with 1 teaspoon facial clay. Apply it to your skin. Leave it on for 10 minutes and then, rinse it off. It will help soothe your skin and absorb any extra oil. Use it once a week, to help close your pores.
Baking Soda balances the pH level of the skin. This helps prevent greasiness of the skin. It also exfoliates the skin and removes dead skin cells. Use baking soda, at least 3 times a week. Just add 2 tablespoons of baking soda to 1 tablespoon of water. Massage it on your skin, in circular motions. Then, leave it on, for 5 minutes. Finally, rinse your skin with warm water.
Aloe vera gel absorbs oil and clears out pores. Apply it to your face three times a day, after washing it. Then, let it dry. Aloe vera will removal any dead cells, giving the skin a radiant glow. It will also reduce acne and inflammation.
Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple cider vinegar helps to exfoliate the skin. Its antibacterial properties also help combat oily skin. At the same time, it cleans out pores. Apply it to your skin, using a cotton ball. Leave it on, for at least 10 minutes. Then, rinse your skin with cool water. Use it daily, until you see results. Also, dilute the vinegar with water, if you experience irritation.
