I, like so many women, desire to have fresh, clean, and glowing skin and have tried many devices over the years which claim to do just that, yet never produced the results that I desired. Now, some products did help to improve the appearance of my skin, but the majority did not.
Not too long ago, I was given a Foreo Luna Device as a gift and I want to share with you my experience with it. The Luna is a facial cleansing brush specially made with silicone hypoallergenic bristles, and unlike the majority of cleansing brushes, it has no brush heads that ever need to be replaced.
I have the pink one, which is designed for sensitive to normal skin types; however, the Luna comes in three colors- white, light blue, and pink. I love the pink color, because it looks so feminine and matches the décor of my home.
The Luna looks like a smooth sea shell and can be easily held with one hand. One side cleanses the skin and the other is for anti-aging. It comes with two settings- low and high, but what makes the Luna so unique is that it cleanses the surface of the skin with T-sonic pulsations. I prefer using the higher setting for deep cleansing and the lower setting to reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles. From the first time I used the Luna, I noticed that it quickly removed dead skin cells, cleansed my pores, softened the dermal layers of my face, and left my skin glowing. The device does come with a charger and needs to be charged before using it for the first time, but the Luna charges quickly and holds a charge for many months, without needing to be charged for a long time.
The Luna comes in a white box with an instruction booklet with detailed instructions on how to use the device, which is very easy to use. Simply apply a small amount of cleanser to the forehead, nose, chin, and cheeks, dampen the bristles with some water, turn the Luna on, then gently glide the device in an upward motion upon the surface of the face. While the skin is being treated, a little jolt is felt, indicating it is time to begin cleansing another part of the face. I usually begin the process by applying the device to my cheek areas, then onto my forehead, around the orbital eye area, and my chin, then I rinse and turn the device off. After drying my face, I apply a moisturizer, turn the device back on, and then apply the anti-aging side to the areas that I want maximum penetration of the moisturizer. After completing all of these steps, my face looks like I just came from a spa, feels soft, and looks clean, with an incredible glow. I am very impressed.
Prior to receiving the Luna, I used a Clarisonic Plus Facial Cleansing System, which cleansed my skin well, but found that it would cause soapy water to splash into my eyes at times, because of the fast rotating bristles. Also, the brush heads of the Clarisonic collect bacteria within a few weeks of use and need to be replaced quite frequently, but the Luna bristles never need to be replaced. Even though both the Luna and Clarisonic both are effective, from my personal experience using both devices, I truly believe the Luna does a better job of cleaning my skin quickly, efficiently, and easily.
I do not have anything negative to say about the Foreo Luna. It is easy to use and produces real results that can be seen within just a couple of uses. It is about $199.00, but in my opinion, it is well worth the price.
You can find the Foreo Luna at Sephora Stores and at www.sephora.com.
