Cooking out on the grill isn’t just for meats and corn on the cob. There are a variety of foods that you can cook on the grill, even dessert offerings. Start experimenting with your grill, and you might be surprised at the variety of foods you’re able to cook.
Many fruits , including pineapple, can be cooked on the grill. When cooked on a low heat, fruits are surprisingly tasty fresh off the grill. Strawberries are more suited to grilling than most, however. Whether you slice them in half or grill them whole, the tart berries are delicious when warm and the slightly smoky flavor of the grill blends well with the sweetness of the fruit.
Kick your grilled kebabs up a notch by adding some slices of strawberry to the skewers. Add slices of banana and melon to make a fruity appetizer. Or, place strawberries on the skewer with lettuce, red onion, bell peppers and mushrooms to make a salad kebab.

This will take some time, so make sure you’re ready to grill for a few hours.
Grilled avocado is smooth, creamy and offers an extra layer of flavor to this popular fruit. Cut it in slices and brush them with oil before grilling avocado on a medium grill heat. The slices are great in salads or on sandwiches.
Even pizza can be grilled, if handled properly. Grill both sides of the dough before you add your toppings. Then close the grill hood and allow the pizza to cook until the cheese melts to become rich and creamy. Grilled pizza cooks pretty quickly and the extra flavor makes even simple homemade recipes taste special.
Want to make a full-course meal on the grill? It’s possible, even if you want to include dessert. Cupcakes can be made on the grill. Just use your ordinary batter, even the boxed stuff if that’s what you like, and pour the batter into a cupcake pan with liners as you normally do. Place the entire cupcake pan on a cookie sheet and place it all on the grill.
