Even outside of football season you can’t go anywhere and not see gold and blue everywhere. It’s the color of the blood that runs through our veins. We don’t just cheer for the Mountaineers, we love them through the good and bad. Never wavering in our support. Throw in some fried potatoes and a side of sauteed molly moochers picked fresh from the woods and you will enjoy a local favorite like no other. The most important thing to know about West Virginia eating is that cole slaw goes on everything! No hot dog or barbecue sandwich is complete without a few scoops on top.

There are several famous people that call West Virginia their home state. Ever heard of the Hatfields and McCoys? You can visit the area where there famous feud took place and also visit the rustic cemetery that houses Devil Anse and his clan.
