I went through cancer and have a permanent need for certain medical supplies. I used to buy them from a local supply store. It was so expensive! Then, I started feeling a little better and began looking online. Some of the prices were about the same, but some were much better! I save around $200 dollars per month by ordering my supplies online.
I thought it would be a big hassle to find a new supplier for my medical needs. It was really easy. I compared prices, found the best one, and just placed my order. If you have insurance, you may have to speak to someone to get it set up, but for the savings it’s worth it.
Ostomy supplies are pretty expensive; especially if you use more than your insurance pays for. I was paying around $50 dollars per box for Hollister pouches and $40 dollars per box for the wafers. I had looked at a couple of online suppliers but the prices were about the same. Then I found Total Home Care. My pouches are $35 dollars a box and the wafers are $24 dollars. It may not sound like a lot but I use 8 boxes of wafers on average each month and 3 boxes of pouches. That’s a big savings for me of right around $175 dollars. They’ve always gotten my order right. One time I only got half of my order because they were out (it was a big order), but the rest came in a couple of days.
For diabetic supplies, the cheapest yet most reliable online company I’ve found is Total Diabetes Supply. I have no idea if they are affiliated with Total Home Care, but I don’t think so because they sell ostomy supplies too. I get a 50 count supply of Contour Test Strips for $19.99. I had been pay almost $30 dollars. Ten dollars here and there adds up. Most of their supplies are better priced than the other websites I’ve looked at.
I adopted my dog when I was going through cancer. She means so much to me. I get pretty much everything she needs at petstore.com . They have good prices compared to some other online stores and I’ve always gotten my package within a few days. I don’t think they sell the heartworm prevention pills or the flea and tick pills that you can get at the vet. I still take her there for those things, but everything else I buy for her from this company.
I’m not endorsing any of these companies in any way. These are just the cheapest prices that I’ve been able to find. Some websites may have cheaper items but I also care about reliability. All of these companies have been completely reliable for me; so far. If anyone knows of any better deals, leave a comment and let me know.
