If your family is planning on having a fun game night in the future, then it would be wise to come up with a variety of games that everyone would like to play.
Here is my list of 10 great board games that your family should consider:
1. Don’t Wake Daddy
Don’t Wake Daddy, which usually takes two to four people to play, is about a group of children whose main objective is to go into a kitchen at night without waking up their father. It would be a great source of entertainment for a family, especially one that has children, because it teaches a valuable childhood lesson.
2. Snakes and Ladders
One of the best board games is Snakes and Ladders. This source of entertainment would be a popular choice for a family night that includes young children. The main goal is to take your game piece and, by rolling die, go from the start to the finish. Landing on ladders help the piece move, while landing on snakes force the player to move back spaces.
Another board game that the whole family can enjoy is Operation. The gameplay is based on real-life operations. That is, family members are supposed to cure physical issues without harming the person.
Twister, which also requires physical dexterity, is a source of entertainment that everyone can play on family night. It does not require much time to play, and children and adults can play it.
Another idea is to play Pictionary with your family. Pictionary involves players on teams attempting to come up with words that are on a partner’s card.
Another consideration for family night is Sorry! This game would be perfect for any family member, and it only requires two or more players.
On a personal note, the board game that my family enjoys playing the most is Scattegories. It is a lot of fun to play, and the only objective is to test your knowledge of various topics, including cities around the world.
8. Trivial Pursuit
Similar to Scattegories, Trivial Pursuit is a source of entertainment that is about answering general questions. Two or more players can play Trivial Pursuit and the playing time is up to the family.
Yahtzee could be a great pick for family night. The time involved is roughly 30 minutes, and children and adults can both enjoy playing it.
10. Figure It Out
The last one on my list is Figure It Out. This board game is based on the show of the same name that aired on Nickelodeon. In short, if your family includes children and has two or more family members, then you should consider playing this game.
