Now obviously things are heating up in the gaming world when it comes to the big titles, one of the bigger titles that I have been hearing gossip about from all over is the game called EVOLVE. Evolve is a game where there is a four player team and a team of one, this one player playing as a creature. This game is still in development and there will be new creatures and the like added, however right now the only creature out is the Goliath. The four player team consists of a Support character, that likes to deal damage and keep the team armored to the best of its ability, a Hunter character that specializes in slowing the monster down, a Medic character that keeps the team kicking and an Assault character that likes to take the damage in close quarters combat.
How might the creature stand a chance against such formidable odds do you ask? Well, how about with the ability to consume and get bigger and stronger with each passing moment!? While the creature is kicking, his main objective is to evolve. Evolving gives the monster player points to spend on an array of skills that the creature is able to use to overpower the enemy team. The Goliath character that is currently out has a nice array of abilities; the ability to shoot fire, which in my opinion is good because you must combat the local fauna in order to consume and grow, the power to throw an incredible boulder with great area of affect damage and knock-back potential. A rush ability which, in my opinion, would be great for escapes or stunning enemies. Lastly, a leap attack which is good for closing in and escaping as well.
Now the monster seems so powerful, how would these small humans stand a chance!? How about we give them some nice abilities as well? Now, I can’t exactly list all of the different player abilities here, due to character differentiation and new playable character designs being thrown into the melting pot on a regular basis, however from the looks of it, the classes kind of speak for the abilities in any sense. The Trapper will have abilities that hinder the creature and prevent escape. Medic has healing abilities. Support has abilities that either damage the creature by other means than player direct fire, or are able to further bolster teammate stats. And the assault class has abilities that are strict damage and tanking of the creature.
I do hope you enjoyed this article as I plan on making more during my spare time in the future.
