Washington State comes alive during the Easter season, with rabbit races, egg hunts, and Easter marathons. There is even a giant rabbit standing in the middle of my town, handing out invitations to great Easter events.
Take a look below and see what’s on offer. Maybe you will be passing by and be tempted to join in.
Easter At Woodland Park Zoo.
I have visited this zoo many times with my children over the years, and we have always enjoyed ourselves. The zoo isn’t very big, but for what it lacks in largeness it makes up for in content.
Woodland Park Zoo is just off of the 520 in Seattle, and has around 1,100 animals from around the world, ranging from insects to elephants. You can see plant life, amphibians, birds, and even play games from the olden days – it’s a terrific place for kids.
This Easter the zoo has an Easter Egg hunt, and children can bring baskets and decorate them with ribbons and colored paper. Everyone can look at the animals and follow the Easter Hunt trail. Here just for you, are the details.
When: Easter day 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Scrambled Egg Easter Run.
This is a 3 mile fun run with an egg hunt built in. Runners will find colored eggs everywhere, and depending on the color, participants will either be helped or hindered. Does this sound intriguing? Come along and see what it’s all about. Prizes are awarded for fastest time picking up eggs, and largest amounts of eggs. There will be 3 bunnies running, if a runner beats the bunny time they get an extra prize.
