I love the Dollar Store. No matter what the store is called or its location, the Dollar store is always a good place to shop. At first glance, the store I’m reviewing is welcoming, well lit, clean, and the items are well placed. There are always personal items, groceries, and merchandise to buy that makes the trip worth while. This particular store, however, makes me scratch my head and wish another Dollar store was close by.
It is a hit or a miss. When there is a certain male assistant manager or manager there, things tend to go south. I would say he is not a people person and have observed his interaction with female employees and other customers. I have unfortunately spoken to him or he has spoken to me and he always comes across as thinking, “Why are you bothering me?” and looking down his nose at me. When he is there, it seems other employees are in a bad mood or stressed out because you can’t get a smile or a hello from them and they look visibly upset. Employees have complained about each other in front of customers.
Again, it is a hit or a miss. Sometimes everything is fine, the staff is friendly, and you get in and out with no problems. Other times it is tense, employees not acting so professional with each other or customers and you wonder how this store makes it with these obvious issues.
I know how it makes it, it is the Dollar store and people are going to shop there simply due to the prices, just like Wal-Mart.
My favorite items
So far, there has not been one time I went to get these items and they were not there.
Odds are I will continue to shop here because it is closest to me but hopefully this and other reviews will get management’s attention.
If you read this and you shop at this store, please make comments about your experience, positive or negative. I never like to be negative about a business but this store calls customers to action. I found only one review online for this store and it was a negative one. It said, “Not even ten o’clock yet and the store is closed.” Google review.
