Does Slim & Sassy Doterra Supplement Work?

by yak max

We are bombarded with natural and “miracle” supplements that help a person lose weight. It’s almost to the point of being completely out of control… alright, well maybe it already is completely out of control. I was just recently told about yet another weight loss supplement that claims to increase one’s metabolism and help melt the pounds away (I usually think of a Salvador Dali picture when they tell me it’ll “melt” the pounds away).

Needless to say, I’m a skeptic. I haven’t tried this myself, but the three women and one harassed-looking man I spoke to about it have said it works wonders for them, just a few drops in every glass of water. I asked about their diet and exercise routine as well. One of them doesn’t work out at all, but works a busy job on her feet all day, and the other three rave reviewers have active gym memberships and eat a half a piece a lettuce every four hours.

My point is that I am a firm believer that weight loss does not come from a supplement, but from healthy active lifestyles. The women (and randomly nodding man) were adamant, however, that this supplement works because they felt more energized and lost more weight than usual.

Here is the main information about Slim & Sassy (catchy name, really): Slim and Sassy Info Page. When I looked at the ingredients, I smiled inwardly (and maybe cackled a little outwardly): Grapefruit, lemon, peppermint, ginger, and cinnamon. Ladies and gentleman, they have finally done it. They made a tasty tea into an essential oil. That said, however, those ingredients have proven to be holistically beneficial with regard to appetite regulation and increased energy, so it’s no wonder it probably does actually work.

Primary Benefits of Slim & Sassy

The biggest benefits of this supplement are listed as:

  • It is not a diuretic, so you can stay hydrated and not pee all day long (now there’s a worthy marketing strategy).
  • It controls the appetite and regulates weight loss so that you can keep it off longer.
  • It helps control cravings and hunger pangs (if you have hunger pangs, you should just eat… seriously, food will actually make that stop).
  • It helps calm the GI distress that sometimes happens while dieting (I like that one. It’s like they’re saying, “sure, you waged war on your body, but here’s a medicine to relax you.”)
  • Mood lifter (maybe I should try this).

Product Cautions (according to the product information sheet)

Citrus oils can create photosensitivity on the skin, so if you use it topically (for weight loss?) then avoid sunlight for 12 hours. That’s right folks – if you’re applying this marketed weight loss oil to your skin for whatever reason, hibernate. And of course, don’t put it in your eye, nose, ears, or any other random orifice (who makes these warnings necessary?).

In conclusion, Slim & Sassy Doterra Essential Oil really is a 100% natural product that is staking claim to the next big thing in weight loss. From what I have seen and heard, it looks to be helpful; however, so does eating and drinking the ingredients that are in the oil.

If you have tried this product, please share your thoughts in the comments below. I’d be very interested to hear what people think of Slim & Sassy.
