They say you are what you eat. If you are feeling tired, putting on weight, constipated, bloated, wearing the same outfit and developing health problems, you need to change your diet. What you are doing is not working so you will need to make some changes. If you stop and think about it, you will realize it is easy to lose weight. The hard part is changing our diet. I am writing this article as a guide to show you why you need to change your diet.
5 Reasons Why You Need to Change Your Diet
Feeling Tired. You cannot sleep. You do not feel like doing anything. You are staying home all the time. It is very important to get enough sleep. It is hard to do that when you cannot sleep at night. They use to tell us to exercise or do yoga to sleep better. Now they are telling us the best thing for better sleep and weight loss is to stop and take time to breath. Deep breathing is supposed to be the best for helping us to get our metabolism moving. When you go to bed you need to leave your problems at the bedroom door. Make the bedroom a place of relaxation. Your bedroom should be free of distractions and light in color. Do not eat or drink caffeine for several hours before you go to bed. Limit foods full of sugar.
Putting on Weight. Winters tend to keep us in doors. When we sit all day and night our metabolism slows down. In order to keep from putting on weight we have to keep moving. When we keep moving we have more energy. They say a blood clot can form in two hours. Whether you are home or driving in your car you need to get up and move around to prevent a blood clot from forming. If you recently lost weight and hit a weight loss plateau you need to think about what you did to lose weight in the first place. I was losing weight walking. I kept walking my four miles every day. Then I quit losing weight. I started a job as a CNA. In less than two weeks I discovered I was down ten pounds. What did I do different? When I was walking I was exercising the lower body. When I started working as a CNA I was not only walking but using my upper body. You must exercise your whole body to lose weight. Make sure you are working both the upper and lower body.
Constipated and Bloated. Make sure you drink plenty of water and eat plenty of fruits and vegetables. If you are exercising you are sweating and losing water. You need to replace that water. If you are eating a lot of fiber in your diet you will need to drink a lot of water to prevent digestive problems. You can get constipated from being tense all the time. Make sure you take time to relax. Go for a walk. Avoid hard to-digest foods. Tight clothes make me to feel bloated. Make sure your clothes are not too tight. You can get constipated when you do not have enough sleep. Get plenty of sleep. Limit foods full of sugar and caffeine.
Wearing the Same Outfit. If your clothes do not fit, that means you probably gained weight. When I put on weight, I tend to wear the same outfit over and over. I have high hopes of losing the weight and I do not want to buy a bigger size. I tend to wear the same pants over and over because that is probably the only pair of pants that I can get on and feel comfortable in. Tight pants give me digestive problems. If you find yourself wearing the same outfit all the time you need to change things. Color is fun. Wearing the same outfit over and over will make you look predictable. Give yourself a little mystery by changing it up. People with dementia wear the same outfit every day. Some people might think you did not bath and do not care about your personal hygiene.
Developing Health Problems. When people put on weight they tend to develop diabetes, high cholesterol and heart problems. Once you develop health problems you have to start taking medications. Having health problems can also lead to dry cracked skin. Drinking plenty of water will keep your skin looking youthful. Diabetes can lead to loss of limbs. If you develop diabetes your doctor may have you monitor your blood sugar levels several times a day by poking your finger and using test strips. High cholesterol can lead to heart problems. It is very important to eat a balanced diet.
