I’m not just a mom.
My body has the power to house two
beating hearts at the same moment.
The power to feel the first movements of life.
I’m not just a care taker.
I have the power to heal the pain
of boo-boos with just a kiss. I can
make tears stop with just a hug.
Comforting is my specialty.
Even at the roughest times.
I don’t just stay home with the kids.
I see their firsts. I watch them grow.
I rock them to sleep. And I’m there for them
When they wake up.
I don’t just clean up messes.
I have the power to be okay with a mess.
I organize chaos. I help make messes.
I watch my kids play, be messy, and be happy.
I’m not just a parent.
I’m a role model. I have the power
to be a good example. To influence
greatness. To set standards.
I don’t just love my kids.
I teach them to love.
To love others and themselves.
I teach them kindness. And I teach
them to be grateful and respectful.
I’m not just raising children.
I’m preparing them for life.
I’m raising a future generation.
I have the power to help them
do great things. To change the world.
To be a great person. And to one day,
do all of these things for their own children.
