“Holy Batman”, Batman, Robin and other comic stars have hit the streets of Indianapolis, Indiana as Comic Con has arrived in town. Comic Con i s a large comic convention that is hosted at the Convention Center in Indianapolis that offers comic book fans over 10,000 square feet of vendors selling anything you can think of comic related. You can find comic books ( new and old), video games, videos, character figurines, and almost anything else you could name.
Fans flock from all over to find that special item that they are looking for and to meet other comic fans. Many people come dressed in costume and so there is a chance you could walk down the street near the convention center and meet up with any super hero or comic book character you could think of. It could be Super Man, Bat Man, Wonder Woman, any one from Star Wars, or a host of others.
Many super stars are to be found at Comic Con this weekend also. Evan Peters who plays in such things as: American Horror Story, X-Men: Days of Future Past, Kick-Ass, Invasion will be at Comic Con both Saturday and Sunday as well as MadMen star, Caity Lotz, Game of Thrones actress Maisie Williams, and X-Men: Days of Future Past, Twilight Saga, X2 actor Daniel Cudmore. Several guest creators and comic book artists will also be at the convention.
Admission is $20 per day or $45 for the weekend ( 3 days) and kids ages 12 and under are admitted free. Parking can be found in a number of places downtown and there are plenty of restaurants and hotels nearby. Downtown Indianapolis has plenty of other fun places to see and do and fans might even enjoy seeing the downtown canal, which has been turned green now to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.
I would recommend that you arrive in town early and enjoy some of the many other activities that are always going on in downtown. I also recommend that if you ever plan to attend this Comic Con or one of the others that are planned for several other large cities in the United States or abroad that you purchase tickets early as these shows sell out fast.
