Challenging Outdoor Scavenger Hunt Clues for Older Kids, Teens or Adults. (#21-#30)

by yak max

Do you need some outdoor scavenger hunt clues that are more challenging for older kids, teens, or even adults? Outdoor scavenger hunts are great but if the clues don’t require much thought for the searcher they just aren’t as much fun.

I came up with more of these clues to use for outdoor scavenger hunts. One of my readers requested some challenging clues for an outdoor scavenger hunt involving teens and adults. I hope you find them both challenging and entertaining. You can use the clues to have scavenger hunts at warm weather birthday parties, reunions, holidays, or at any get-together. Outdoor scavenger hunts are a great way to kick-off any party and have your guests talking together well after the prize has been found.

I like rhyming outdoor scavenger hunt clues, but that’s just my preference. It’s much easier to come up with clues when rhyming is not involved but here are a few ready-made clues that just might challenge your older kids, teens, or even your adult friends!

Clue #21: I come in lots of sizes, some are big and some are small. Regardless of our size, our purpose is to hold it all.

Clue #22: We have handles, locks and windows that move up and down. You can find us in all colors, at home and all over town.

Clue #23: We can be used to decorate, hide-a-key, or can be called a pet. What we are will all depend on where it is we’re set.

Clue #24: We grow things and we can also be moved. If we have flowers then your skill in gardening is proved.

Clue #25: I can be used to decorate property lines or put around a shrub or tree. No matter how big I am, you need muscles to build me.

Clue #26: I am used for flower boxes and to keep people from falling. I am sometimes used as a seat or to rest against when neighbors come calling.

Clue #27: Do you want to know what clothes you should wear today? Consult me and I’ll tell you what I think before you walk away.

Clue #28: I can be made of wood, metal and plastic. All the kids think I am fantastic.

Clue #29: I like to trim, but not your hair. When you have to push instead of ride, it’s just not fair.

Clue #30: I sing a song, play some notes or just plain irritate. Who you find when you answer me is just a matter of fate.

I tried to make challenging outdoor scavenger hunt clues using items people may have in their lawn or yard at home. If you have any ideas for other hiding places for clues for an outdoor scavenger hunt for adults or teens, leave me a comment after this article and I’ll work on an article containing even more challenging clues!

I’m trying something new this time with my outdoor scavenger hunt clues. I did not provide the answers. See if you can guess what they are and leave them in the comments at the bottom. I’ll post comments of my own to confirm your answers to the outdoor scavenger hunt clues!
