The article “Galveston oil spill spreads, hurting wildlife and businesses” shows how the international oil top 1% are raping our country of its treasures and the GOP and their misinformation propagators are assisting them in their corruptions.
As recently as the end of March there were four oil spills-with the one in Galveston being the biggest, but aren’t they forgotten already by all of us who don’t live in Galveston? If something happened that recently and we don’t remember it are the spinners of the world able to make us buy anything?
See, we have the business advertising men and the GOP propaganda organs propagating misinformation to the populace as the article states “Almost immediately, Fox News tried, in its forever arcane logic, to turn the Galveston spill into an argument for further expanding oil and oil shipping infrastructure. They tried to argue that shipping accidents are in some way an argument for building the Keystone XL pipeline. Of course, pipelines like Keystone XL would only INCREASE oil shipping traffic, as pipelines only run over (or under) land.”
We have been duped into forgetting about the BP oil spill. The international top 1%, with their unbridled greed, will do anything for a lousy buck, so they are practiced at deceiving the sucker who is born every second.
The article states “Years after the BP Deepwater Horizon spill, the Gulf of Mexico’s fishery has still yet to recover. A study released just this week in the Proceedings of the Natural Academy of Sciences linked oil contamination in the Gulf to major, often fatal deformities, in young fish.”
Why are we getting hounded about the XL pipeline with the recent tragedy about oil being so recent? Because we are worn down by the struggles in our own lives, or is it just being dumb and lazy?
The article “The BP Cover-Up” illustrates how the perpetrators of this crime against humanity have continually being lying to us. They have done this before so they are practiced at deceiving the rubes-which they consider all of us.
The article concludes “BP and the government say the spill is fast disappearing-but dramatic new science reveals that its worst effects may be yet to come.” The article states “On the shores of the Gulf of Mexico, as black doom wells up from the seafloor a mile down, I find oil on beaches repeatedly cleaned by hazmat crews….It occurs to me that a new stratum is being written in the geological logbook of the Gulf of Mexico, perhaps someday to be known as the BP dark layer. Will history record it as the oily seam marking the end of an untenable energy era and the beginning of a better one?” As long as there are predators in the capitalist system such as BP I fear that I can’t share any optimism that can be reached by the last sentence of the quote.
They ruined our economy in the Bush 43 era. President Obama’s efforts are still in progress in stabilizing that system. That wasn’t enough for them. Now the fat cats seem obsessed with ruining our environment with the XL pipeline being in the vanguard of this villainy. If the environment is ruined what can anyone do to improve it? If we all are using iron lungs you know the Koch brothers will be first in line to take the cream off the top of any profit made in that industry.
Can’t these international top 1% crooks realize that they have stolen too much from us? We’ve all learned through our history courses that the peasants always eventually revolt. Don’t these fat cats fear that?
