There is no shortage to beaches to visit here in MA, but it’s nice to do something different once in a while. If you are interested in visiting a water park this season, why not check out Water Wizz? If you are familiar with Water Wizz, then you already know how awesome it is, but if you have never heard of it, or have never been, then this article is for you.
Located on Cranberry Highway (Route 28) in East Wareham, this is a very accessible park in an area with plenty of other entertainment. On off season days the park is open from 10:00 AM- 5:00 PM, and from 10:00 AM- 6:00 PM during the on-season. Rates are typically $35 for general admission, $17 for people under 48″ and people over 65, and free for children under 2. After 4:00 PM (or 3:00 PM on days the park closes at 5:00 PM) the general admission price drops to $24. The general admission price drops down to $17 of you arrive an hour before the park closes. Free parking is available at the park.
One nice thing about the park is that there are plenty of activities to choose from, and enough to suite all ages and preferences. They have a wave pool called Mussel Beach, with waves reaching 3.5 feet! For people who want to relax, they have a lazy river called Herring Run River. There are 3 rides/play areas specifically for children and families. The park also contains 6 water slides, including a flume called Pirate’s Plunge. Oh, you want to hear a fun fact? Grown Ups was filmed here!
If you get hungry, you can eat lunch at the park. The menu includes pretty traditional items such as hamburgers, hot dogs, and chicken fingers. If you prefer a sit down restaurant, there are a number of them around Water Wizz, such as the Pub 99, Burger King, and local joints like Lindsey’s Family Restaurant and Bailey’s Surf and Turf, all conveniently located on Route 28 in Wareham, MA.
