Maruya- Maruya is located at 2931 16th Street in San Francisco. Offering some of the highest quality sushi in San Francisco, this place is constantly busy. Be sure to make a reservation in advance, especially if you plan to dine with several people. Their expert chefs have over 25 years of experience in Japanese cuisine, making for an authentic and high-quality dining experience. There prices range from about $40 to $85 a platter. They are open for dinner only, Tuesday through Saturday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. They have an extensive sake menu as well as a variety of Japanese beers available.
Saru Sushi Bar- Saru Sushi in San Francisco is conveniently located at 3856 24th Street. They are open Tuesday through Saturday for lunch and dinner, with lunch on Sundays as well. They offer a variety of excellent sake options, starting at just $10 a cup. Their sushi ranges from $5 to $14 a roll and $2 to $4 a piece. For dessert they have authentic ice cream options like green tea ice cream and black sesame ice cream. They cater to vegans and vegetarians as well, with a vegetarian sushi roll and vegetarian nigiri.
Elephant Sushi- Elephant Sushi is located in San Francisco at 1916 Hyde Street. They are open for dinner only, Wednesday through Sunday. They often have a wait so it is recommended to make reservations in advance. This place is reasonably priced as far as sushi goes, and you can expect to pay around $40 for a meal.
Okina Sushi- Okina Sushi is located at 776 Arguello Blvd. in San Francisco. They are very reasonably priced, with pieces of sushi starting at about $2. The one downside about this place is that they have very limited hours. They are only open for dinner three days a week, on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Due to the limited hours, it can be difficult to get a table without a reservation.
Daigo Sushi- Located at 2450 Clement St, Daigo Sushi has some of the best sushi in San Francisco. With rolls ranging from $3.50 to $7.50 and pieces around $2.50, this fish is amazingly fresh and for an incredible bargain. They are very vegetarian friendly as well offering sweet potato rolls, avocado rolls, veggie rolls, and cucumber rolls. They are open for dinner every day of the week except Monday.
