Best Options for Body Hair Removal for Women

by yak max

All women suffer from extra body hair. Whether it is just a little or a lot, they are always looking for different ways to remove and conquer it for good. Some women have extra body hair because it is passed down through their genes and others suffer from this embarrassing problem from a disease such as Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. No matter the cause, there are different ways to remove this unwanted and embarrassing extra body hair.

Laser Removal

Although getting laser hair removal done can be quite expensive, it works well by removing the hair, making it look like it was never there in the first place, and keeping it gone for quite some time. This method works by using a laser or pulsed light to shoot energy from the hairs, through to the follicles, and finally to the roots, killing them. This method is good to be used on any place on the body and is best for women with dark hair and a light skin complexion. The lasers won’t work at all on white hair and doesn’t work too well on blonde hair. Laser hair removal will usually take 5 to 7 sessions and a touch-up once every year after.

Electrolysis

Electrolysis is expensive as well but worth it if you can afford it. This is because it is permanent hair removal. It works by a tiny needle being slid down into the follicles until it finds the cells that cause hair growth and then destroys them. Because it reaches down into the cells to kill them, the hair never grows back. This method is great for any place on the body, however, women tend to get it done on their face more often than anywhere else. Although it seems to take a long time because, depending on how much hair you want removed, it can take up to 25 sessions, each session only takes 5 to 10 minutes to complete.

Waxing

Although the waxing hair removal method has been around for a very long time, the type of wax used today is much different from the past. Women from the past used to use a sticky, honey wax which would get stuck everywhere. Now days, they use a soy based wax that only sticks to the hairs. This hair removal technique can be used all over the body and since it is now soy based, is not as painful as it used to be. The only problem with waxing is that the hair follicles are exposed afterward and prone to infection. Because of this, make sure to apply an antibacterial lotion to the waxed area.

Having your own beauty equipment can allow you to get rid of this excess and unwanted body hair easier than ever before.
