I simply love Santa Barbara which includes the road trip there with a beautiful view of the ocean along the drive on a summer day. There is nothing I enjoy more. There are so many attractions to be enjoyed while visiting from the zoo to its beautiful beaches. You can find out what this city offers its visitors at SantaBarbara.com and in the meantime, here are three of my favorite places to stay, I do hope you will consider them and enjoy them as much as I do.
Brisas Del Mar, Inn at the Beach – Located at 223 Castillo St, Santa Barbara, CA 93101 This hotel is said to be the type of place that, upon hearing it was your anniversary would upgrade your room to a suite at no charge and would have champagne waiting in the fridge for you. Rated #6 out of 59 hotels in Santa Barbara, it is beautifully landscaped and you can enjoy the scenery while sitting at one of the many tables with chairs made available to you throughout the grounds. There is a continental breakfast available each morning where you will experience friendly staff much the same that you find throughout the hotel. With great amenities like wine & cheese at night, free bikes and milk & cookies cooked on site you can also enjoy the many restaurants and the wharf which is but a short walk away and is highly recommended.
Best Western Plus Pepper Tree Inn – Located at 3850 State Street, Santa Barbara, CA 93105 (800) 568-8520. Ranked #16 out of 59 hotels in Santa Barbara and having received the Certificate of Excellence 2014, this is definitely in my top 5 places to stay. Many of the words used to when reviewing this hotel are “Clean and comfortable hotel/motel”, “A surprisingly well-appointed Best Western”, and “Clean, well organized staff, soft sheets and comfortable bed”. With over 150 rooms available, nestled on five acres of tropical gardens, this beautifully Spanish-inspired resort hotel exhibits ornate tile and wrought-iron embellishments. Enjoy two heated tile pools, two whirlpools, and all the other available amenities offered.
West Beach Inn – Located at 306 West Cabrillo Blvd, Santa Barbara, CA 93101 Rated #19 out of 59 hotels in Santa Barbara this place just shouts beautiful, amazing, rooms with a view. With many of the amenities a standard among my choices, this place offers a kitchenette which is something that caught my attention. Nestled in between the beautiful Santa Barbara Yacht Harbor and historic Stearn’s Wharf along Cabrillo Boulevard, the hotel in steps away from the many beaches, shopping areas and restaurants. Plan on enjoying complimentary wine and cheese, a swim in the heated pool or a soak in the luxurious spa. There isn’t much more you could ask for while staying here, visit their website to get the complete information on what they have to offer.
With so many wonderful places to stay it would take several articles to tell you all about them. I hope you find my first three choices enticing and consider them when you plan on being in the area. Santa Barbara is such a beautiful place that I have been visiting for more years than I can remember and it is amazing each and every time.
