Baked beans are a dish that I loved as a child, my mother would make them with chunks of bacon, honey, brown sugar among other ingredients. The one thing I remember is that big white fatty piece that seemed to be at the top of the can whenever I open one to help mom cook. She love this fatty piece while I would never touch it to this very day. I will leave it there for others who enjoy it but I will pass it up every time. Funny the memories that stick with us from childhood.
