Baby Product Review: Daddy & Co. Daddy Diaper Pack

by yak max

When you’re on the go with baby, you need a bag that will hold everything you need. The choices in diaper bags are plentiful, especially if you like flowers or Disney characters. But if you’re a dad, how many choices are there available for you to take out a diaper bag that looks like it belongs to you, not your wife? The Daddy & Co. Diaper Pack in Camouflage is a perfect example of a fashionable and functional diaper bag made just for dads – though moms can also enjoy it.

I’m obviously not a dad, but I am interested in utilizing bags for my kids that are functional and carry everything I need in an organized place. Just before our vacation I had received the Daddy & Co. Daddy Diaper Pack which was a perfect time to check out its capacity and ability to keep me organized while on the go. Daddy & Co was founded to provide dads with more manly options in baby gear combining both function and form. The Daddy Diaper Pack was no different. The pack is strong and sturdy and is decorated with a grey camo print. The pack straps are well padded and fit ergonomically. They come together at the top and create a handle for carrying. Since I’m a little on the smaller side, I did have issues with the handle portion pushing into my neck instead of rounding my shoulders like it should.

The diaper pack has pockets galore to hold everything you need for a day trip out. We had used the back pack during a day at the park. I was able to place extra clothes in the large compartment. This is also a place for diapers and wipes that are kept close at hand. Behind the large compartment is a wet pocket for soiled/wet clothes or diapers. I also found this particular pocket useful for holding my tablets as it is padded on both sides. A larger lunch could probably go in this pocket with a good ice pack as well since it is padded. The biggest issue with these two pockets is the way they zip. The wet pocket only zips about a quarter of the way and the main compartment zips about 2/3 of the way. Having it open a little more would help have better access to the contents, especially while in a tight diaper situation.

On the outside of the back pack is where the organizing comes in. There are mesh pockets on each side for water or baby bottles. There is a small pocket on the bottom that is insulated to hold snacks or milk for baby. In the middle is an organizing pocket for things like keys, pens, change and more. On the top is a cloth pocket works really well for cell phones, sun screen or hand sanitizer. Board straps are included in case you need to attach items to the pack such as other bags or toys.

The Daddy Diaper pack is available from Daddy n Company for around $70. It comes in plain black and the camo edition. If purchasing the Diaper pack as a gift, you can also pick up the Big Daddy Gift set which includes several of dad’s favorite Daddy & Co. accessories for around $156.
