Hull City got a firing start when they scored two early goals in first ten minutes and it seemed as if Arsenal would have to wait for more years to win its first trophy. Hull city took the lead through a beautiful crafted corner when the ball was fed to Huddleston who hit it hard but his miscued shot was deflected by James Chester into the Arsenal net. Arsenal couldn’t handle the intensity of the match and defence fall asleep again which gave opportunity to another Hull City’s Center Half Davies to stretch their lead to 2.0 after Fabianski’s clearance from the line hit the bar and fall into the feet of Davies who slot in into the Arsenal net.
2-0 down in first nine minutes it looked as if it is going to be the repeat of 2011 Carling Cup final and Arsenal choked at the big stage again. Arsenal started pressing Hull City harder and was awarded a free kick from almost 35 yards. Podolski and Cazorla stood behind the ball to take it . Cazorla took it and curl it beautifully to the left side of keeper to give Arsenal something to cheer about in the 17th minute .After this goal Arsenal tried to keep the momentum on their side and moments later Ozil fumbled the chance to bring his side to level terms when he couldn’t finish the ball from 3 yards and the ball went through straight his feet.
Arsenal tried their best to score one more goal but it was the resilience of Hull players that they were unable to do that flowing football passing which could have given them edge over Hull City. Score remained 2.1 at Half time.
Arsenal started brighter in second half but still was unable to find the net in the start of second half. Wenger looked frustrated and he made a change to bring in Yaya Sanogo for Lukas Podolski and this change worked for Arsenal as Arsenal had two penalty shouts in few minutes when first Cazorla’s ankle was clipped by Hull defender. Arsenal got a corner in the 70th minute and pressure was on Arsenal to find the equalizer in the remaining 20 minutes. Cazorla took the corner, Giroud and Sanogo jumped to the ball tried to head it in and ball hit the Hull City’s Defender and fall in the feet of Kosclieny who beautifully slotted it into the net by finishing it through the legs of the keeper. After this it was all Arsenal, Hull was unable to even touch the ball in the later period of the match but clinincal finishing was missing.
Match went into the extra time and it was Arsenal who got the final goal of the match when Giroud find Ramsey with his sublime back heel and Ramsey perfectly slotted the ball into the right side of the goal to hand Arsenal their First Title in nine years. Hull City later on got the golden chance when Mertasacker slipped and Fabianski came half way down the pitch but Sone Aluko calmly avoided his tackle but still couldn’t place the ball into the empty net.
It was a fantastic match even for Neutrals to enjoy and Arsenal fans will remember this match for ages now just because of the final result and this might be the start of new Era for Arsenal Fans and Arsene Wenger too. Now Gooners want Arsene to make a statement in Transfer Market by buying some Big Names and give the message to their rivals that they will not be happy with only one title .Where as Hull City got a Europa League spot as the FA CUP winner is guaranteed a place in Europa League and as Arsenal has already qualified for Champions League so Hull City will play in Europa league instead of Arsenal.
