Wrestlemania 30 will not live up to the hype. A round number like that, we should have been treated to something more special. No long anticipated matches will take place. While the WWE is setting things up perfectly on the logistical side of things, we can already guess what’s in store at the biggest WWE event of the year.
The Most Likely Matches:
WWE Champion Randy Orton vs. Batista
John Cena vs. Bray Wyatt
Daniel Bryan vs. HHH
Cody Rhodes vs. Goldust
The Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar
Roman Reigns vs. Dean Ambrose vs. Seth Rollins
Other matches will likely be included such as one featuring Diva AJ Lee in something related to the television show ‘Total Divas’ or involving a celebrity. Big Show and Kane are two veterans who may also get involved in some way, as could names like Alberto Del Rio, Antonio Cesaro, Jack Swagger, and Sheamus. Random tag teams may be thrown together last minute to accommodate additions to the card.
The results of the matches are a little more difficult to predict. Batista will probably win the title, Bryan will have to beat HHH to avoid the fans rioting, Rhodes will beat his brother Goldust, and The Undertaker will not lose to a part-time wrestler.
Cena does not need the win over Wyatt, in fact, the more I think about it the more Cena will take the loss. From The Shield (Reigns, Ambrose, Rollins) the winner will probably be Reigns after his showing in the Royal Rumble, setting up for an eventual face turn.
The setup for these matches is already set too, which going into Wrestlemania will leave little excitement.
Batista has already earned the title shot and facing Orton is the only thing that makes sense considering how powerful Orton is and the history the two men have from their younger days. Orton will retain at Elimination Chamber and the match will be set.
Cena facing Wyatt already began at the Royal Rumble when the Wyatts attacked Cena post-match. Bryan finally getting to take on HHH, this has been long-coming. Finally a match between The Shield will set up perfectly after a loss to the Wyatts at Elimination Chamber. Frustrated by the lack of unity, a triple threat at Wrestlemania with a Roman Reigns win will be the end of one of the best stables in WWE history.
CM Punk supposedly leaving has freed up the card to look a lot clearer. Lesnar looking to end The Undertaker’s streak sounds like a “money match” except for the fact that we already know the winner.
The only real surprise I would like to see at this Wrestlemania that is possible would be Daniel Bryan headlining against HHH. Only The Undertaker could possibly outshine Bryan at this point. A Bryan vs. HHH match to close-out the show though would be the best option as the perfect image to end Wrestlemania would be with chants of “Yes! Yes! Yes!” as we fade to black.
