Many who have experienced attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) know how difficult it can be to concentrate. But did you know that mental health disorders like this are commonly associated with anxiety and even depression? As an individual who has first-hand experience going through this and being diagnosed at the age of four, I have been engaging in the active study of natural alternatives to help me lessen some of the symptoms and hopefully will one day completely overcome it.
I am not a doctor, nor do I make any claim of being certified to diagnose or treat any disease, however, just like doctors I am actively studying and putting to practice information I have obtained myself.
Consuming proper amounts of water and making drastic changes in diet, such as cutting gluten, grain, processed foods and sugar out of the diet can have definite benefits on physical and mental health. Understand it’s not always easy to keep up with it, especially when birthdays and celebrations seem to always be around the corner. The addition of supplements can also be beneficial. One day I decided to begin taking two separate substances one being Shilajit and the other being Long Jack also known as Tongkat Ali. Within a few days, I felt something amazing happen.
Tongkat Ali and Shilajit
These two substances are extremely amazing so long as your taking the real thing. If one were interested in studying these substances it’s literally a few clicks away, studying vendors and reading reviews of vendors will help ensure it’s real. I had in my possession fifty grams of Tongkat Ali and about ten grams of Shilajit(in pure form). I started off with about a gram of Shilajit once in the morning and once at night. Tongat Ali was also consumed, a 1:200 ratio extract powder form which was also consumed in the morning and at night. What I discovered, about three days in, was an amazing amount of energy, mental clarity and focus. I felt literally unstoppable, like a huge veil had been lifted from my eyes. Work activities no longer bogged me down and actually became seemingly pleasurable. Could my ADHD really have just disappeared?
ADHD, Anxiety, and testosterone
Anxiety and depression are frequently synonymous with one another, but did you know that so are ADHD and anxiety? I have had first hand experience with all three for a good majority of my childhood, teenage and adult life. The aforementioned regimen had seemingly wiped out all of it. Although these results may not be typical, if sharing this information can help even a single person, I think it’s worth sharing. As well as anxiety and depression I also believe I may have been suffering from low testosterone. There existed a certain period of time where Ifelt weak, tired, and had low libido. Tongkat Ali has some interesting medical studies surrounding it regarding increasing the body’s free testosterone and making it more bio-available by unbinding and freeing testosterone. It is one of the only plant derived substances backed with medical studies to prove it. Low testosterone has also been associated with depression and anxiety, and leads one to believe in a strong possible correlation between ADHD and testosterone.
In conclusion, there are many ways to help one battle ADHD, anxiety and depression this is just a portion of my own personal study, and application thereof. Non of this however should be used in place of sound medical advice by a licensed professional. I personally want better quality of life and if I can share some of my personal experience with people along the way, especially if it helps, I beyond a doubt will do it in a heartbeat.
