Are you feeling stuck with your makeup and want to try something new with your look? Or are you just looking for some short-cuts to speed up your morning routine? Well look no further! Here’s a dozen easy beauty hacks that’ll get you looking your best in no time!
The nude waterline.
Many of us have probably already heard that running a white makeup pencil along your waterline (inner lower lashline) can brighten our eyes and make us appear more awake. However, white can look a little harsh for an everyday look, so switch out your white pencil for a nude or peach-colored pencil. Your eyes will instantly look brighter without looking like you’re actually trying!
The mascara wiggle.
If you’re in a hurry, here’s a trick to get your lashes looking fab in under a minute: take your mascara wand and place it at the base of your lashes. Gently close your eye over the wand and wiggle. The mascara will quickly coat both your top and bottom lashes without smudging!
Cream highlighter dupe.
Finding a natural looking highlighter for cheekbones can be a struggle, especially if you find that powders dry out your skin. Use a shimmery gold or white colored cream eyeshadow or eye primer (like Urban Decay’s eye primer in “Sin”) as a cream highlighter! Just apply a tiny amount to your finger and lightly swipe it over your cheekbones for a dewy, natural look.
A lot of us notice that throughout the day, our eye shadows can fade, smudge, or we can even get annoying fall out under our eyes. Lock that shadow in for good by spraying your eyeshadow brush with makeup setting spray, then using the wet brush to apply your shadows. This also helps your eye shadow to appear more pigmented and true to color.
Juicy lips without the plumper.
Love the look of plump, thick lips but don’t want to spend money on a lip plumper? Before you’re ready to apply your lipstick, exfoliate your lips with a lip scrub or a small face buffing pad. Then apply some protective lip balm before your lip color, and your lips will instantly appear fuller.
The white base.
Make your eyeshadows really pop on your lids by first applying a white eye shadow base or cream shadow (like Nyx Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencil in “Milk”). Not only will you get a truer color out of your shadows, but it will help your shadow stay in place throughout the day as well.
The skinny snout.
Many of us already know that applying bronzer below the cheekbones can slim our faces. If you run some bronzer down the sides of your nose with a small eyeshadow brush, and then blend out the lines, you’ll get the same effect and your nose will appear much slimmer.
