5. The Light Show
Probably the biggest reason why people enjoy the 4th of July weekend is purely to spectate and admire tremendous displays of light and sound. People gather at shores, at parks, on the beaches, at country clubs, and numerous other places just to see this grandiose spectacle. The bigger and louder they are the better when it comes to these and every year they trend that way. Lately the special effects created have become almost hard to believe.
4. Parks & Recreations
Going to a park, either a regular park or an amusement park is one of the most common and least expensive things one can do for the 4th of July weekend. I mean sure if you go to Six Flags Great Adventure or Dorney Park for example then things could be more costly, but it’s worth it to go just once a year for some fun with friends & family. A stroll through a regular park with the kids or only couples can be pretty fun and relaxing too and just because it’s a holiday doesn’t mean you have to spend a lot of cash.
3. Pools & Beaches
This is one of the best ways to relax on your weekend off from work. I know not everyone has easy access to a beach locale, but surely there are plenty of pools likely located near your location. It’s a great way to just lye down in a beach/pool chair and enjoy the weather. If it gets too hot, then you can just take a nice dip in the pool or ocean/lake. Keep in mind that the water may still be quite chilly at the beach, so if you’re looking for a way to get a nice warm dip then a pool is preferred. A beach is great because you can let your kids enjoy the sand and water while you are getting a nice tan or just purely relaxing.
If you haven’t done it for Memorial Day weekend then there’s a good chance you might do it for the 4th of July weekend. This is the time of year to reconnect with friends and family that you haven’t spoken to in weeks, months, or even years. What better way to enjoy your time then catch up and have some laughs while enjoying delicious burgers or hot dogs on the grill. The BBQ is very cliche for the summer season but it’s tradition and comforting for most folks.
1. Vacation & Party Time
It’s a time to let loose, have a few drinks (not too many hopefully), get away, and just have a good time. People go overseas, they take island trips, they go to Las Vegas, and the purpose is simply to have a good time either with your friends, your significant other, or your family. Depending on where you go you hope to party your butt off and forget about the cruel outside world even if for only one night. Now you don’t necessarily have to go too far to party because many of us have friends/family who throw summer parties or you yourself may be throwing a party. The whole point is to forget about the stress of our routine life and chill out.
