Pregnancy can sometimes be unnoticeable. A woman can confuse the signs with a stomach virus, gas, or indigestion. They may not want a child and, therefore, ignore all the indicators. Others may have a strong belief in the effectiveness of birth control. There are so many reasons why a woman may not know she is pregnant. Here are some other reasons:
False Pregnancy Test
A home pregnancy test is the first step in finding out if you are pregnant. Elevated levels of the human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) hormone in urine, indicates a positive result. However, false readings can occur, if used improperly or read wrong. It could also occur, if the test is taken too early. You could be pregnant, even if it reads negative. Sometimes the test may not detect the complete levels of the hormones. This is, primarily, during the first few days of pregnancy. It is best to wait one week after a missed period before taking the test. To be sure, always use more than one test.
Every woman does not carry weight the same. During pregnancy, some women are large around the midsection. Others barely show any signs. Changes in a woman’s weight, is how she and every one knows she is pregnant. However, if they are overweight, the extra pounds may not be noticeable. The excess weight around the stomach area can hide pregnancy. Also, if a woman is on a diet after conceiving, they may not gain a huge amount of weight. Any weight gain should never be overlooked. You may possibly be pregnant.
An active baby is how a woman knows she is pregnant. The position of the baby determines the activity of the baby. For example, if the baby is in a breech position, it will not be as active. If a woman doesn’t know she is pregnant, she may confuse it for gas or indigestion.
