2014 Kia Cadenza Review: A Guarantee of Power, Performance and Comfort

by yak max

The Cadenza, without doubt, is one of the stand out brands on the segment market, and it’s available on a V-6, 293-hp 3.3-liter gas engine. It’s front-wheel drive and mated with 6-speed auto transmission. While it doesn’t look like a rocker, it has the ability to accelerate from 0-60mph in just 6.2 seconds while also returning 25 mpg. Cadenza’s performance is good enough while the upscale interior enhances its comfort levels. It offers an athletic stance, awesome proportions and a clean sheet metal. The 2014 Kia Cadenza looks like it’s a sport sedan, yet it isn’t.

Powertrain, Drivetrain & Performance

The vehicle accelerates smoothly and strongly but also brakes with confidence. It’s a pretty quick car for its specifications and offers a response many sedan lovers will admire. Power is obtained from a 3.3-l V-6 engine which can offer 293hp and 255-pf. The all aluminum engine uses direct injection and comes with 3 variable inductions, timing chain and variable-valve timing (VVT).

Comfort and Quality

The Cadenza offers high level of comfort but almost a queasy ride. The interiors are well trimmed and good looking.2014 Kia Cadenza is very quiet at highway speeds. Also, the car doesn’t offer boat like big car motions which are associated with majority of big cars that are available out there. There is a thigh seat extension for tall drivers. The seats are also soft, and there is enough leg room. The driving position is awesome for all sizes of people. However, tall riders may not be comfortable at the back seats because of the sunroof systems that are installed. All materials used to make the cabin are pretty impressive. There are many physical buttons such as touch screens, quality voice controls and quite a number of hard buttons.

Interior and Exterior Styling

The body style is reminiscent of a typical sedan. The inner part of the 2014 Kia Cadenza is subtle yet attractive. The comfortable seats, adequate leg room and high quality finish makes this vehicle a standout in the sedan class. The outer design curves can’t get any better.

Safety Features

2014 Cadenza offers great value for car buyers who put safety first while also offering features that you find in luxury cars that cost more. It comes with a total of 8 standard airbags. There are full length side curtain safety bags, the rear and front seat, backup warning-sensors and a rear camera. Others are advanced smart cruise control which can help bring the car on halt for front traffic. The lane departure warning system comes handy in case you get drowsy and get out of your line. Moreover, it has a blind spot detection that warns about vehicles on the side as well as behind.

Trim Options and Cost

Unlike other brands of cars that are sold in several trims, 2014 Cadenza is sold in one ‘Premium’ trim. However, there are two choices of this depending on the specifications. They have 4 doors and the price starts at $35,900 and $43,200 respectively. The vehicle offers fuel-economy of 19/28 mpg and additional features like heated seats, powerful navigation systems and Bluetooth. The wheel size is 18 by 7.5 but 19 by 8.5 is also available. The top speed is around 220km/hour.

Warranty

The basic warranty for 2014 Kia Cadenza is 5 years or 60000 miles, whichever comes first.
