With the CES 2014 presenting us with fascinating new gadgets this year, it seems like a good idea to revisit some of the past gadgets that made us say “what were they thinking?” These products are the weirdest I have ever seen and they are still selling right now.
10. Lightning Reaction Electric Shock Game
The object of this game is to be the first person to click the button and the other players get shocked. This torture game can’t be the best idea that this company could come up with.
9. Breo iDream
The Breo iDream is an eye and head massager. A massager seems like a good idea; however, the iDream looks like a helmet from tron, comes in only one size, and has been known to be very painful.
8. Nerdtendo Gamebooze 8oz. Flask
It’s a flask that looks like a gameboy. It’s for those gamers who love Nintendo, and it seems like a good novelty gift, but it is cheaply made and therefore most gamers wouldn’t want it in their collection.
7. Electronic Spin the Bottle
Spin the bottle is a classic game that most teenagers have played. This electronic game is supposed to make it easier to play, but to be honest, the game was never hard to begin with. I don’t see how anyone can’t take the effort to spin a bottle by hand.
6. Grassy Charging Station
The purpose of this product is to hide your messy chargers. The problem is that it creates an entirely new eyesore. This station is nothing but a box with fake grass that anyone can make for a couple of dollars.
5. Automatic Toilet Flusher for Cats
This product is supposed to have a sensor for your cat to be able to flush your toilet. However, why would your cat even need to flush the toilet.
4. Kitchen Art Ham Dogger
The idea for this product is to save on buying hamburger buns by shaping your ground beef into hotdogs. The problem with this is that you can shape ground beef by hand. Also, you aren’t saving money because you have to buy more hotdog buns.
3. Faucet With Water Flowing Stand
The idea is to hold up your tablet and the product does do that; however, why would anyone want a stand that holds an expensive electronic device to look like there is water behind it?
2. iCarta Bluetooth Speaker Toilet Paper Holder
The idea is to stream music to your toilet paper holder when you are in the bathroom. I don’t think that anyone needs to listen to a song that badly while in the bathroom.
1. CTA Digital 2-in-1 Potty with Activity Seat for iPad
The idea is to get children used to the potty by having them sit on it and play with apps on the iPad. The problem is that a child doesn’t need an electronic device while going to the potty. It seems like it could get pretty messy for an expensive iPad.
