Some food you eat have different effects on your body. Some of them will get you a feeling of bloating and involve a plump belly. These effects, even if just temporary, can be uncomfortable because they will make us feel awkward in our clothes. Other foods can lead to a long-term bloating after a fat-filling in the abdominal region. We will try to examine together the food you should prefer avoiding, still always giving you an alternative to each product.
White bread, such as the french well-known baguette, is unfortunately made of refined flour. Refined flour implies an increase of glucose in our body, which then releases a great quantity of insulin, which improves storage of fat. This fat is first stored in the belly region. Thus, if you want to lose weight quickly, especially in the belly part of your body, you should prefer whole wheat bread to avoid storing fat.
Cabbage is a vegetable known for its gas production at the gastrointestinal level during the digestion. Vegetables such as cabbage, cauliflower, beans and all their derivatives get ingested easier when they are cooked well. Avoid eating those if you hope on getting a flat belly. However, we can’t totally ban them from our diet because they contribute to a good food hygiene and bring us the nutriments needed to burn fat. They should then be eaten up on a reasonable basis and well-cooked.
Between 1 to 3 hours after ingesting carbonated water even if it’s caloric-free, you could feel a slight bloating. The gas contained in carbonated water have an influence on your flat belly. Ideally, prefer drinking plain water and a lemon slice to get or keep a nice flat belly. If you really can’t get rid of carbonated water, do not exceed one glass a day. And ban them totally a few days before an occasion when you need your flat belly.
Sodas, even light
Sodas contain a lot of refined sugar, which is the greatest enemy to losing weight. They can also contain corn syrup, also bad for losing weight. As for ‘light’ sodas, even if they contain aspartame, they are not any better to help us reach our objective, a flat belly. Actually, when you drink light sodas, your brain recognize the sweet flavor and immediately raises insulin rate in the blood which, in turn, will store all the fat you will ingest. Thus, light drinks are false friends, even if they relieve our conscience, they are our enemies in our fight for a flat belly. Furthermore, all the gas contained has the big disadvantage of bloating the belly. Prefer drinking a fresh homemade fruit juice.
Fried food is already too fat-rich when following a diet, but they also have a tendency to make us feel heavy and bloat our belly. So, exit fried products especially if you want to lose weight fast! If you like this food, you can still cook them yourself at home instead of buying them already-made. For this, take a chicken breast, dip it in some egg yolk then in whole wheat flour. Fry it lightly with some olive oil in a pan. You can also use this process for a lot of other foods and and you’ll have something healthy and sane in your plate, still avoiding bloating and bad fat in your flat belly!
Ice cream (I know, summer is approaching… )
Ice creams contain a large quantity of sugar and sugar-rich food tend to increase our glucose rate, thus increasing our insulin rate, implying fat storage in the abdominal zone. Because ice cream is a dairy product, it contains high quantities of lactose, and sugar is also found in milk. Many people do not tolerate lactose, which leads to digestion troubles, thus an increase in gas, bloating and can even lead to diarrhea. Excessive temperature variations for food, especially for very cold food (like ice-cream) can disturb the gastrointestinal system, leading to cramps and bloating.
Deli pork food
Pork processed meat is a food rich in bad fat for our organism. This bad fat deposit in arteries which leads to a poor blood circulation and creates cardiovascular problems. Furthermore, poor circulation creates a sore, which is directly linked to fat storage in the abdominal region. Processed pork meat, delicatessen is almost always rich in sodium (salt). Sodium-rich food increase water retention, which gives a bloating feeling and the sensation that the intestines are filled with gas. If you enjoy delicatessen, prefer considering lean meats like turkey, chicken, that contain less saturated fat and are a lot less caloric. You can still eat a ham slice if you get rid of the rind part around, of course. These foods still remain rich in sodium so they should only be eaten from time to time to maintain a nice flat belly.
The action of chewing gum usually imply ingesting a lot of air. The more air you swallow, the more this air accumulates in your gastrointestinal system which can lead to bloating because the pressure accumulated in your gastrointestinal system will create, in turn, pressure on your abdominal wall. If you want a nice belly, avoid them.
White rice has been refined and both the external and internal layers of the cereal have been removed, while also getting rid of most fibers, nutriments and proteins. White rice gets digested fast in our body, creating in chain an increase of insulin levels and an increase in fat storage by our organism. With time, your waist has chances of getting rounder. Furthermore, white rice gives us a low level of repletion, which will certainly lead you to eat a lot before feeling satiated. The point here is not to ban rice but rather opt for brown rice or wild rice. They can both replace white rice perfectly in most recipes while being a lot more beneficial for your organism and your belly.
Salt is a real water sponge for our organism. Of course, like rice, the point is not banning it because it remains essential for our health. It only has to be dosed well. Avoid salting away a dish before tasting it, avoid foods like delicatessen that’s too rich in salt. As much as you can, cook by yourself instead of buying pre-made dishes that are rich in salt. You will avoid your body a useless water retention effect, an awkward bloating and you will keep a nice flat belly!
