Doesn’t it become challenging when you have to come up with a different cake for each special occasion? By the time you make one for a birthday, a holiday, a graduation, an anniversary, or another special occasion, times the number of people in the home, times the number of years that you’ve been baking cakes, well, it’s a lot of cakes. How do you make a different one each and every time without losing your mind? I’ll tell you how: make bundt cakes! You won’t need dozens of recipes; you won’t really have to use a recipe at all – except the one on the box of a cake mix.
Numbers multiply quickly when you figure the various combinations that you can use to make bundt cakes for assorted occasions. It’s possible to make years and years of bundt cakes without ever serving the same one twice. Start out by choosing the flavor of cake that you want. Mix up the batter according to the package instructions.
Decide on the food(s) that you want to put into the bundt cake. There are so many, including candy bar pieces, chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, fruit pieces, candies, peanut butter, and crushed cookies. By the time you choose the cake flavor/color, the goodies inside, and the color of frosting, you can surprise your guests and family with zillions of delicious desserts over the years.
After mixing up the batter, pour some in the bottom of the bundt cake. Put in the chosen treats and then pour in some more batter. Continue alternating between batter and treats until you have filled the pan.
Bake the cake, according to the instructions on the box, and allow it to cool completely. Heat frosting until warm and drizzle it all over the top of the cake. Let it run down the outside of the cake, as well as the inside of the hole. If you desire, tint the frosting first, and use one or more colors of frosting.
You don’t necessarily have to stop now when it comes to creating a fabulous bundt cake dessert. There are many yummy things that you can sprinkle on top, including coconut, chocolate or other chips, crushed cookies, small candies, and fruit pieces. No matter what things you have combined with the bundt cake, you’ll present a spectacular dessert for a special occasion. And, when the next special occasion comes around, you’ll be ready with yet another decadent surprise.
