It’s what I like
What exactly do you look for when shopping for your jeans? I believe we each have an idea, but it is not always easy to find what we are looking for. I like a good fitting stretchy pair of jeans, because I work at my desk a lot, but I also chase my grandchildren and like to work in the yard. You may like a fancy pair, straight legged or a casual pair for the office. I used to know a guy who worked in an oil field and all he would wear was Levi’s. Same for a friend who is a bull rider; yet I know many who will buy whatever is on sale at the time. We are all different but we know what we like. Are you buying for fashion, fit, leisure or work?
Writing about jeans, I have to bring up Levi Strauss with the creation of his company, who changed what we all wear. Almost everyone has at least one pair of jeans. His story started in 1853 and is still going strong today. He led the way for so many companies to bring us so many different styles of this beloved denim material. It started with pants, led into dresses, skirts, jackets and much more.
The Perfect Fit
My daughter told me about Raw denim and I found out it is also called Dry denim. For those who want their life to show in their jeans, this is a good example of what to get. These jeans are like a journal of your life. You don’t wash them for at least six months to a year. The more you wear them, the more personality they take on.
Fancy or Casual
Jeans are not just about style they are also about appearance. Whether they are faded or have bell bottoms, jeans are a style that speaks about the wearer. I have always liked the ones that have the fancy pockets. My daughter likes to walk the bottoms off. Casual jeans are great for wearing to informal office settings and our beloved holey jeans are great for on the town, at the beach or just relaxing.
