The weather plays a very important part in our lives. We plan our days according to the weather. We watch the news, read papers, and use apps to constantly try to stay informed on the weather. Yet we all know it’s never 100% accurate. Nothing makes us more livid than leaving work and it’s pouring rain, even though the forecast was sunny for the entire day. Let’s face it: the weather affects us more than we know.
It’s Summer here in Indiana but you couldn’t tell by the weather. For the past few weeks it’s rained almost every day. Without fail, it rains. I’ve never seen anything like it in all my 25 years. This isn’t Summer weather. This feels more like Spring or Fall. It’s hard to plan anything when the weather is so wacky. But what can we do besides try to be prepared for everything. I take a jacket or at least an umbrella everywhere. One minute you can have clear skies and the next it’s total Armageddon.
Some say it’s Global Warming in full effect. It’s probably truly. The Earth has finally had enough with the way we treat it. The signs are everywhere. Unusual temperatures and weather conditions are happening in the most surprising places. So what can we do? For one, we can start taking better care of the places where we live. Recycle, stop dumping harsh chemicals and keeping everything clean. God didn’t make the Earth for us to destroy but to live. It always starts with us because we created the problem in the first place.
If you’re tired of this wacky weather, tired of seeing news broadcasts of tornadoes and earthquakes destroying homes, and tired of watching our home die, take charge. Start changing where you are. Help the planet become what it once was. How can we treat the only place we have for a home, so poorly? Living in outer space isn’t much of an option right now. This means we need to help the Earth and the weather by stepping up. Be prepared and clean the Earth.
