The movie Yetis was made in 2012 in the woods of Wisconsin but the story takes place in Canada in the winter. It was filmed in the winter in Wisconsin so there is plenty of snow and cold. The first day this movie was filmed the temperature in Wisconsin where the filming took place was 20 below zero. Cold even for Canada but all the actors showed up at 7:00 am to film. As you watch the movie Yetis it is part of the fun to watch the actors filming on this very cold day. They shiver as they try to get warm and you can see their breath as they speak.
Michael Butt directed this movie about a group of college interns and a wolf expert doing research about why there are no wolves in a remote area of Canada. As they prepare their cold winter camp they hear strange noises and one of them is attacked. Once the intern is attacked the group feels they need to get him to a safe comfortable place to recuperate.
They go out in the cold and pull the injured intern on a sled to an old farm house. The old house is dilapidated but more hospitable then a tent so they venture inside. They find a stove and build a fire and soon the house is somewhat warm.
An old recorder is found and it tells of another expedition who was not lucky getting away from the Yetis. The interns now know what they are up against.
As they discuss their next move a Yeti breaks into the house and they soon realize why there are no wolves in the area. The Yeti is a mean one who kills several of the interns one at a time. In the end the Wolf expert kills the Yetis one at the time. He is alone as he burns down the house and wanders off in the light of the house burning to go home.
This is a movie that is entertaining and fun to watch.
