In the weeks leading up to WrestleMania 30, the Shield has been battling Kane and his goons. This all started when Kane attempted to utilize Shield as henchman to do his dirty work just as Triple H did last year. It didn’t turn out well as Roman, Dean, and Seth no longer wanted to take orders from corrupt authority figures who cause injustice. Ironically, their perception of justice is correct in their current run whereas it used to be the exact opposite with them taking out the good guys in WWE.
After dealing with Kane and the New Age Outlaws at WrestleMania, the feud would not stop there. On the following night on RAW, the Shield discovered from a frustrated, loudmouth Kane that the boss, Triple H, was the one who ordered the hit on them on a previous episode of SmackDown in which heel tag teams outnumbered Shield and beat them to misery.
One can only imagine the anger they must have been feeling after hearing that. Targeting the man behind this whole ordeal would be their biggest strive for justice by far and that’s exactly what they did.
After Triple H’s buddies Batista and Randy Orton squashed Daniel Bryan before RAW’s main event match started, it looked as though Bryan’s championship reign would be over when Kane and then Triple H arrived to the scene. If Hunter pinned Bryan at that moment without any interruption, he would most likely become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
Fortunately, the Shield’s music hit the arena and they made their way to the ring for revenge and to stop the injustice that was taking place. Roman finally speared Hunter while Dean and Seth flung themselves at Batista and Orton. With three Evolution members reunited on the same page and Kane possibly as Ric Flair’s replacement, it looks like the Authority, or rather the new Evolution, is the Shield’s next greatest challenge.
Having Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, and Seth Rollins go to war with these well-known established top stars and winning in the end would be a huge accomplishment to add to their resume. The journey to rid the WWE of the real injustice has finally brought the Shield to extreme heights which should hopefully elevate them enough and make them stronger so that they can stand on their own when the special ops group breaks up one day.
