Looks like the math did not add up for World Wrestling Entertainment when it comes to airing the WWE SmackDown Pre-Show as they have nixed it. Last night the show simply did not air on the WWE Network, but there was no reason given.
For the second week in a row the show is not listed on WWE.Com nor WWE Network scheduling. According to people close to the situation WWE has decided that it would be cost effective not to air a live SmackDown Pre-Show due to the low ratings.
They also added that in a sense it was/is not logical to air the show seeing how SmackDown itself is pre-taped unlike Raw where you can make live announcements, changes to the show its self all while being at the arena/show with the live environment.
Its not to say the Pre-Show will never be back, but for the time being the show will be on an extended hiatus.
On a different note, WWE will not be airing a new episode of WWE Rewind this week, as they will be airing a replay of the WrestleMania Rewind featuring Chris Jericho vs. Shawn Michaels from WrestleMania 19.
At this time no one could provide a reasoning behind not having a new episode lined up for next Tuesday night.
On a brighter note, the Network will finally start to air Total Divas!
Some of us will miss WWE Legends House, but starting next Thursday (06/26/2014) we have a great replacement as Total Divas will air on the Network at 8 PM/E starting with Season 1, Episode 1!
