Right now the WWE is abusing of teasing separations of tag teams for too much time. At first it was a great idea but now is getting a little bit annoying. Everything that is over used starts to lose his power. For example: If you make the same joke to the same people every five minutes then these people will lose interest in your joke because of overexposure. The same happens with the WWE ridiculous teasing of separations of tag teams. In this article I will talk about why the WWE should stop doing that.
Since the beginning of the year 2014 we have witnessed a lot of teasing tag team separations. For example: when The Shield started to have internal problems on who is the better of the three, WWE tease a separation between the three but after that The Shield members were more united than ever winning two matches against the powerful faction, Evolution. Finally at the June 2, 2014 edition of Raw, Seth Rollins surprise us turning heel after he betrayed his partners of The Shield. Since the teasing until the conclusion passed six long months. It was misleading. The same happened with Cesaro and Jack Swagger. They started to tease a separation for two months until Cesaro leaves Jack Swagger and his manager Colber and joined Paul Heyman his actual manager. WWE also teased a possibility of a Natalia heel turn when she confronted Nikki Bella and the other Divas, but the storyline disappears out of nowhere. Now the recent tag team that is still teasing a separation is Cody Rhodes and Goldust. The separation tease between Goldust and Cody Rhodes has a length of six months since Royal Rumble when Goldust eliminated Cody Rhodes and in a Battle Royal for the US Championship in which Cody Rhodes eliminated Goldust. Now after their long losing streak, Cody Rhodes is trying to find Goldust a better partner, but Goldust keeps losing. We watch the same in every Raw and Smackdown episode since Payback so is getting pretty boring. If the WWE wants a rivalry between the Rhodes brothers it should happen very soon. After all their talent has been wasted in a losing streak against another team that has been wasted: Rybaxel. If WWE wants Cody Rhodes to turn heel they should do it in a shocking and surprising way. Cody Rhodes has a very good potential as a heel so if he betrays Goldust and win the match against him then he could finally be a respectable singles career wrestler.
In conclusion, let’s hope that WWE eliminated the same storyline for all the tag teams and friends. We want a surprise turn like Seth Rollins did with The Shield. Very slow separations are a very lazy way of the WWE Creative Team to approach the situation. After all there are so many talents right now that they don’t have to recycle the same storylines week after week.
