What will your life be like after surrendering to an addiction is the million dollar question so many alcoholics ask themselves. They know something has to be done regarding their alcohol addiction and the way the abuse alcohol.
The big thing is, they want sobriety and know they need to change their life, but they wonder if they can get along in life without their crutch. The crutch they carry every single day of their life. They ask them self, “how will I be able to go everyday without a drink of alcohol?”
HERE IS WHAT MY LIFE IS NOW SINCE I STOPPED DRINKING ALCOHOL
I must start out by saying, quitting drinking alcohol was the hardest decision I have ever made in my life. As any alcoholic knows, when you are addicted to alcohol it becomes a huge part of your life, and to just stop drinking and surrender to the one thing you love to do, and having that love for the buzz, or getting drunk really is so hard to say goodbye to.
This may sound very familiar to many of you that have an addiction to alcohol and want to quit drinking, and those that have surrender to their demons and now living a clean and sober life.
I drank alcohol a good part of my life and it became over the years MY LIFE! Nothing came before my addiction to alcohol, not even my wife and children, sad to say, but very true. Alcohol was always first in my life and I couldn’t go a day without it.
Once I finally made up my mind to stop drinking alcohol, the next step was to follow through with my decision, and not chicken out because I might be afraid of living sober for the rest my life. Once both of those steps were done, the next step, and the very hardest for me, was to not just get sober, but To Stay Sober for the rest of life. As they say though, one day at a time, and one step at a time.
NOTHING EVER SEEMED TO GO RIGHT IN MY LIFE WHILE I DRANK …UNTIL
I got sober and finally got out of denial. Now being sober since October of 2009 everything in my life is right back to where it used to be before I drank alcohol and more.
I always have a positive attitude now, but when I was drinking, I was such a negative person. I can think and act with a clear mind. The decisions I now make sober are all the right ones, but when I drank I made many wrong and costly decisions over the years.
If you make that change in your life I can tell you that your life will improve 110%, as mine did. Your health will improve and you will start to look like your ole self again, as I do now. You will save boat loads of money that you spent on alcohol.
You will never have to worry about getting in your car and driving and worrying about being pulled over and given a DUI. You will be a free person, meaning your demons will no longer run and ruin your life and the lives of your loved ones.
Truly, if you have any intentions of changing your life by stopping drinking, I can assure you that you will be such a happier person, not to say, healthier, and so darn proud of yourself for doing what you did to change your life and those lives around you.
I know I am very proud of myself, as everyone else is just as proud, if not prouder of me. I brag about my sobriety and how I gave up drinking, and how I don’t need alcohol to have fun and be happy, because what I have learned through this journey of being addicted to sober, alcohol did nothing for me except cause me many problems in my life.
You can do it believe me! I never thought I could, but I proved myself wrong. I am happy, healthy and SOBER!
