The Late Night show with David Letterman is a very exhilarating experience. All that I had to do to receive my tickets was go online and apply, and then if they choose you all you need to do is answer a few questions by phone call.
Once I got there, they took us to a bar nearby to wait. After we finally got there, they “prepped” us for the show. They did this by getting us to laugh at just about every thing, no matter if we thought it was funny or not and if not then to fake laugh. Though the size of the stage isn’t very large and the simplicity of the show, there are very many people recording it and working behind the scenes.
Once David came out to talk to the audience, everything seemed quite staged and planned out. I was sitting in the third row and saw a bit, as Bill O’ Reilly came out as the guest of the night. Everything on stage was surrounded in cameras to get the best angles on everything. In the end, the band that played was alright though it was nothing too special. I didn’t quite have the best view, but I could see a decent amount.
Attending The Late Night Show with David Letterman was overall a pretty great experience. It was very unique and makes you realize how much work is actually put into it. It’s something that I’d definitely want to do again!
